How The Copywriting Journey Began
When my son signed for a professional football club, a long way from home, it meant that I was in a stressful situation each time he needed to go training.
I would need to ask my boss for time off work, and with the chance that he would eventually live in the academy, I wanted to be in a position where I could visit him when I wanted to.
This prompted me to think about my situation, and after 15 years of teaching I wanted a career that allowed me to work around my family life.
After stumbling onto copywriting, I found myself eager to learn more about the copywriting profession. I eventually found myself binge watching Alex Cattoni’s copywriting videos which inspired me to become a copywriter.
This led me to invest in copywriting courses, read marketing and copywriting books and use all of my spare time (when not at work) practicing the art of copywriting.
At first, starting a new career felt daunting and sometimes impossible. But, when I started to build the Blue Sky Copy website and put together my portfolio, I could see the idea becoming a reality.
Now I’m here ready to help others turn their ideas into a reality.
